A room of her own

Every time Genevieve does something more advanced, we get really excited and almost overcome with joy. However, it also indicates that she's growing up and things are changing.
For a while now, Genevieve has been becoming far more vocal. This, unfortunately, also happens at 3am. So we'd been putting it off, but we thought it was pretty much time for her to go into her room each night, instead of next to us in her cradle. She'd been having the odd afternoon nap in there, with her little aquarium, so it wasn't like something completely new for her.
But, it was new for us. We put her down slightly later than the normal time (around 8:30pm) and she slept really well. But I know that I definitely woke a few times and even though she was only in the next room, I had to strain to hear her breathing. It was only when she moved or grunted that I was comfortable that all was ok.
(And of course I know that she was going to be fine, but I suppose natural protective instincts were kicking in).
